DCM Electrical offer full inspection and testing services to domestic, commercial and industrial properties. Emphasis is always on quality, delivering the best solution to your inspection and testing requirements.

Electrical testing inherently involves some degree of hazard. At DCM our team are competent and have the knowledge and experience to ensure your safety and that of others, by carrying out the procedures in a controlled manner.

We work closely with the customer ensuring minimal disruption to your business or home is of high priority. Inevitably there will always be circuits that need to be de-energised to carry out testing, this would always be pre-arranged and discussed to suit your requirements.

Using the latest software and technology we provide you with a clear comprehensive report on the condition of your installation which can be emailed as a PDF or produced as a hard copy.

Our tests and reports are accepted by major banks, building societies, councils, insurance companies, health & safety executive and licensing authorities.

All testing is carried out in accordance with the 17th Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations, BS7671:2008.

For you peace of mind and quality assurance DCM Electrical are members of the NICEIC (National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contractors).

Our Testing & Inspection services:

Electrical Installation Certificate

At DCM Electrical inspection and testing is an integral part of the service we provide when we carry out any type of electrical installation to your premises. We utilise the latest state of the art equipment to ensure accurate readings are taken and then compiled onto computer software provided through the Amtech. Upon completion of the contract the necessary certification will be issued direct to the customer these include electrical installation certificates, minor works certificates, periodic inspection certificates, fire alarm certificates, emergency lighting certificates. Any certificate completed will also be available as an electronic PDF document at no extra cost and DCM Electrical will keep a back up copy if replacements are required.

Domestic, Industrial and Commercial Periodic inspection and testing

Installations deteriorate with age so it is important inspections are carried out at regular intervals. Periodic inspections provide an in depth condition report of electrical installations ensuring they conform to standards laid down in the IEE Wiring Regulations BS 7671:2008 that is to ensure it has been designed, installed, constructed  and maintained in a safe manner thus ensuring  personal safety. DCM Electrical will provide periodic testing tailored to suit your needs, offering a price per circuit, one off quotation or a package based on a 12 monthly report. Certificates will be compiled providing an easy to read and understand report on the condition of the installation and detailing any remedial work required. Certificates can be provided as an electronic PDF document and replacements available if required.

Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 places a legal responsibility on employers and employees, as duty holders, to ensure that electrical systems used at work under their control are safe.

Domestic visual condition report

Only have a small budget but are still concerned about the condition of your wiring and electrical installation? Consider a visual condition report.

The biggest dangers are often the most easily missed. Leave it to the trained eye to evaluate whether you installation is safe. DCM Electrical can carry out a visual inspection of your property and issue an NICEIC certificate detailing any defects found.

Emergency lighting periodic reports and servicing

DCM Electrical carry out 12 monthly emergency lighting testing  to BS 5266 ensuring emergency lighting systems are operational, provide adequate lighting levels and are positioned to provide safe exit if required. All results will be recorded on certificates produced via amtech computer software provided by the NICEIC.

Fire alarm testing and servicing

DCM Electrical carry out 12 monthly fire alarm testing and servicing to your system to ensure trouble free operation when most required. Your system will be thoroughly checked to comply with BS 5839. All results can be recorded on inspection and servicing reports and you will be notified of any non compliances or faulty equipment found.
